OUR PURPOSE
We
are a church community that seeks to pursue our Father God,
experiencing His great love in the knowledge, wisdom and the power of
the Holy Spirit---and as we are molded to be like Christ, we are sent
to reach out to the lost, the needy and the broken.
WHAT THIS MEANS
PASSION FOR GOD
Seeking to pursue our Father God
“to know the love of Christ…that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God” Ephesians 3:14-21
Our highest priority is to live as people who are redeemed by the Lord
Jesus Christ, seeking to know Him and love Him in response to His
faithful love, and to walk in the life and power of the Holy Spirit.
CONNECTING IN COMMUNITY
Molded to be like Christ
“until Christ is transformed in you…” Galatians 4:19
Through our relationship with God and with one another, we are
transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit to become more like Him.
In community, we will grow in Christ-likeness through a process of
participation with the Spirit and the Word in practice of spiritual
disciplines.
We will participate in transformational relationships characterized by
personal authenticity, graceful acceptance, support and encouragement
in our spiritual journey.
We will be characterized by kingdom living within a community of love, manifesting Christ-centered values.
COMPASSION FOR OTHERS
Sent out to reach out
“The
Lord has anointed me and sent me…to bring good news to the afflicted…to
bind up the brokenhearted…to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom
prisoners…to comfort those who mourn…” Isaiah 61:1-4 (Luke 4:18-
As we seek and follow Christ individually and together, we will join
Him as He lovingly calls those around us to be reconciled to Him and to
each other.
Life as ministry – we desire that others will be attracted to Christ
through the grace and loving acceptance they experience from us as we
live out the gospel through our lives, reflecting and ministering the
life of Jesus in our day to day activities.
Reaching out – in and through Christ, we will bring the kingdom of God
to human need, especially among people who are lost, broken and shamed,
and those who are poor and the oppressed.
